MaraDNS and Deadwood configuration files mistakes
Problem is in location config file (MaraDNS and Deadwood)

Sample MaraDNS mararc:

rename attached config file mararc1.txt to mararc - MaraDNS on WinXP do not want to run

rename attached config file mararc2.txt to mararc - MaraDNS on WinXP run

The difference in mararc1 and mararc2 (for example) - position of
ipv4_bind_addresses = "127.0.0.2" in file.

Any comments ?

RE: MaraDNS and Deadwood configuration files mistakes
Windows doesn’t have a 127.0.0.2 loopback address; it only had 127.0.0.1. As I recall, FreeBSD also only has only a single loopback IP; Linux is the only OS I know that correctly makes all of 127.0.0.0/8 be loopback IPs.

Certain configurations would be easier if Windows had multiple loopback addresses. Sigh.

RE: MaraDNS and Deadwood configuration files mistakes
Sam, when in attached files I change the ipv4_bind_address = 192.168.0.1 the problem remained
Еhe impression that the position of the line in the file plays a role

I don’t have time to look at this right now. Maybe someone else here will help you (hi, Remco!)

RE: MaraDNS and Deadwood configuration files mistakes
Here is the screen

As for example in mararc config file hide_disclaimer="yes" but really disclaimer still present.
If ipv4_bind_address is placed in first lines of config - MaraDNS runs OK, if placed, for example, at the end of the config file (config have more comments), MaraDNS do not want run - black screen appears and immediately disappears.
